Report on Best practices and unique initiatives under PM SHRI scheme Under PM SHRI scheme, this Vidyalaya received the first installment of grant of Rs.2009690, on 05-10-2023, to make the expenditure under recurring (Rs1008214) and Non-recurring (Rs.1001476) heads. This is to help this school to nurture students in a manner that transforms them into engaged, productive and contributing citizens. As per KVS HQ Letter dated 22-09-2023, this Vidyalaya commenced to implement the PM SHRI Scheme and developed following infrastructure and changes in the Vidyalaya under
recurring and non-recurring heads. Under Non-Recurring Heads:
Setting up of sanitary pads Vending Machine and Incinerators – sanitary pad vending machine has been purchased and installed in Jr. Science lab in October 2023. It contributes to create a supportive and inclusive school environment for girls’ students. Incinerators have been fixed in washrooms. It provides the facility to dispose the sanitary products and helps maintain a clean and comfortable environment for students and
community by preventing the blockage of drains. Digital Library – 8 Desktop computers have been procured and setup in the Library with highspeed internet. It provides access to wide range of digital books, journals, articles and multimedia resources, allowing students to explore diverse topics and subjects.
Smart Classrooms – One LED Interactive touch panel has been purchased and setup in
Chemistry lab which is helping to carry out the teaching learning process in an efficient
manner.
Under Recurring Heads:
LED Lights: School has been using LED lights by replacing the traditional ones. Activities Promoting Green School – Good green parks and lawns have been developed in the Vidyalaya, which are adding beauty and aesthetic look. Hanging garden pots have also been procured and arranged in a well-planned manner.
Vermicomposting Pit- The Vermicomposting pit was constructed in the school with help of students in the Botanical garden area. It consists of designated pit where organic is deposited for composting with the help of earthworms. It is producing good organic
fertilizer which is used in school gardens.
